Marketplace Listing

If you choose to advertise your services on the Cademy Marketplace and we bring you a new customer through the marketplace, we will charge a 15% commission (+ standard payment processing fees). This fee does not apply to bookings or sales made through your own website or minisite.

Payment Processing

Payment Processing Options & Fees

Cademy does not charge any payment processing fees. Instead, we integrate with leading payment processors, allowing you to collect payments quickly and securely:

  • Integrate Stripe, PayPal, or Klarna into your account for fast, affordable, and secure payment handling.

  • Payments will appear in your chosen payment processor's account as soon as the customer completes an order or booking through Cademy.

  • Standard fees from the chosen payment processor apply to all transactions.

  • With Stripe, you can choose to absorb the processing fees or pass them on to the customer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Cademy free?

Yes, Cademy is free to use as a platform for all the tools with no limits

Why are there fees involved if Cademy is free?

Although Cademy is free to use as a platform, there is a payment processing fee that is passed on to the payment processor chosen by you, such as Stripe or PayPal. This fee is only applicable when a payment is made through the platform.

How will I be charged?

Transaction fees are automatically deducted at the point when the order is placed.

What happens when a booking is cancelled?

If a booking is canceled, the full price will be refunded to the customer. Cademy covers the refund processing fee.

How does Cademy handle payouts?

For Stripe Payouts

Under your Stripe account, you have the flexibility to set up a regular payout schedule, be it daily, weekly, or monthly, or choose to payout manually.

For Bank Payouts

Every month on the 1st (or the first business day after), we process and issue payouts for courses that took place during the previous month. Please note that these funds will only be released once the course has been completed and the service is provided in full. For instance, if a course was booked in February but was not delivered until March, the payout for that booking will be paid out in April. This is because we can't do refunds on any bookings we've paid out.

What is the main difference between a Cademy Profile (Minisite) and a Marketplace Profile?

The main difference lies in the URL structure and associated fees. Your Cademy Profile (Minisite) has a unique branded link (your-name.cademy.co.uk) and only charges a payment processing fee for bookings. The Marketplace Profile is part of Cademy's public marketplace (cademy.co.uk/your-name) and includes a 15% marketplace fee plus the payment processing fee for bookings made through the marketplace.
