Introduction

Cademy is a platform that highly values the experiences of its learners. We believe that honest and constructive reviews are essential for the growth and improvement of both learners and course providers. Our review feature allows learners to share their thoughts on courses and course providers, which in turn helps course providers enhance their offerings.

Types of Reviews

There are two types of reviews on Cademy:

Educator Reviews

On the educator profile page, we display an aggregate rating under the profile name. This rating combines reviews left on courses and the reviews left on the profile as a whole. This combined rating allows prospective learners to quickly assess the overall quality of an educator's services.

To view all reviews left on an educator's profile or any of their courses, click the "Reviews" tab on the educator's profile page.

Course Reviews

Each course page features a review rating, providing an idea of the course's overall quality.

Detailed Review Breakdown

On the course page, a detailed review breakdown evaluates various aspects of the course, helping potential learners make informed decisions. This breakdown covers the following:

  • Material Covered: Reviewers evaluate the course content's relevance, depth, and coverage to gauge its alignment with learning goals.

  • Organiser: This section assesses the course provider's organizational skills, planning, and execution, reflecting their professionalism.

  • Location/Delivery: Reviewers focus on the course's physical location or online platform, discussing accessibility, convenience, and effectiveness.

  • Facilitator: This part covers the instructor's teaching style, knowledge, and student engagement capabilities.

  • Resources Provided: Reviewers assess the quality and usefulness of resources supplied during the course.

  • Communication: This section evaluates the course provider's communication skills, responsiveness, and ability to address concerns.

How can customers leave reviews?

Course Page

We encourage learners to share their experiences, especially when a course or Course Provider page has no reviews. These initial reviews build trust, offer insights into quality, and foster a well-informed learning community on Cademy.

Educator Profile

If a customer wishes to review an educator's profile as a whole rather than any particular course they run, they can do so via the Reviews tab on the educator's profile page.

Via Email Using Mail Merge Tags

Course providers can easily send an email to all attendees who have successfully completed or attended a course, asking for their feedback. To do this:

  • Navigate to your course dashboard.

  • Select the "successful" or "attended" bookings.

  • Click on the email button.

  • Choose the mail merge tag for reviews.

  • Compose a polite and engaging email encouraging learners to share their experiences.

  • Send the email.

When you use mail merge tags from the contacts page to request reviews, the generated link will be for the Educator profile, not a particular course.

Booking Follow-Up Email

Cademy has updated the default booking follow-up email to include a request for reviews.

To ensure the follow-up email is sent:

Mark bookings as "attended" within the first 24 hours after the course ends. This will trigger the follow-up email to be sent to learners.

By actively seeking feedback from learners, educators can gain valuable insights to enhance their courses and better cater to their audience's needs, ensuring a positive learning experience for all.

The customer's reviewing flow

When the customer clicks on any links that prompt them to start a review, they will be taken to a page where they will first be prompted to enter an overall star rating for their experience.

Learners can leave a star rating (1 to 5 stars) and choose to include a public and/or personal message alongside their review.

When submitting a course review, learners will be asked to give further feedback about their experience, covering areas like Material, Organiser, Location/Delivery, Facilitator, Resources, and Communication. This ensures a well-rounded assessment of the course.

Responding to Reviews

Course providers can respond to reviews using both public and personal messages through Cademy's Inbox. This helps address feedback, clarify concerns, and build trust with future learners.

To reply to a review:

  • Log in to your Cademy educator dashboard.

  • Go to your Inbox to view messages and reviews.

  • Find the review you want to respond to.

  • Write a public reply in the "Public Educator Response" field.

  • Click "Save Response"

To reply privately to a review, you can use the inbox in Cademy to converse with the customer as with any other conversation.

Verified Badge and Google Reviews

Reviews left by learners who have attended the course will feature a VERIFIED badge. Cademy automatically checks the student and confirms whether or not they attended the course they're rating. If we can confirm their purchase of the course, we will add a VERIFIED badge to distinguish those reviews and add an extra layer of trust to the community.

Cademy now automatically imports Google Reviews from your business profile on Google Maps and shows them on your Cademy profile page, enhancing your reputation and showcasing the quality of your offerings.

Review-Based Filtering & Sorting

Cademy's platform is equipped with a review-based filtering and sorting feature designed to enhance the user experience in our marketplace. This feature simplifies the process of discovering top-rated courses and course providers, ensuring learners can easily find the best educational opportunities to suit their needs.

How Review-Based Sorting Works

When browsing the Cademy marketplace, users can opt to sort their search results based on ratings. This sorting algorithm prioritises courses and course providers with higher average review ratings, propelling the most positively-reviewed options to the top of the search results.

The sorting feature takes into account both the overall review ratings and the number of reviews. This ensures that top-rated courses with a significant number of reviews are prominently highlighted.
